Terra Negra has real product-market fit — late-night kitchen, nightly karaoke, two-for-one happy hour, sports on every screen. The experience wins every time. The digital infrastructure hasn’t kept pace. This proposal is the fix.
Terra Negra is a Mexican cantina and entertainment destination in the heart of Punta Cana’s Bávaro corridor — one of the highest-traffic tourist zones in the Caribbean. Opened two years ago by entrepreneur Gianfranco Marrocco, the concept was built on a clear thesis: apply American business discipline to a Dominican tourism market that hasn’t seen it yet.
The result is an operation with real competitive advantages that nobody else in the corridor can match. A two-for-one happy hour that runs 4–6PM daily — on everything, including premium spirits. A full kitchen open until 1AM when every competitor shuts down at 11. Nightly karaoke with a live DJ at 9:30PM that routinely turns into a dance floor. Ten to twelve screens broadcasting every major sport in the world, with full audio integration across the sound system. A daily rotating drink special at 250 pesos — about $4.50 — from open to close. And a 22-unit apartment hotel attached to the property that creates a captive daily audience before the tourists even step outside.
Terra Negra is competing in one of the most demanding restaurant markets in the world — 30+ restaurants within walking distance, all-inclusive resort pulls, tourist attention spans measured in days. And it’s winning on experience, on ratings, and on repeat visits. The question now is whether it’s winning on discoverability.

The Opportunity
Executive Summary
Our audit of Terra Negra revealed a business with exceptional experiential product and a critical digital blind spot: the website returns zero results in Google. Literally invisible to anyone searching “Mexican restaurant Punta Cana” or “best bars Bávaro” online. In a market where 12 million tourists arrive annually — most of them planning their nights before they land — that’s a significant missed opportunity compounding every single day.
Beyond search visibility, the audit identified four additional gaps: no guest data infrastructure (zero email or SMS capture), a Facebook page at 657 followers vs. 10K on Instagram, WhatsApp-only reservation flow creating friction for international guests, and a TripAdvisor volume gap of 6x vs. the category leader despite a higher rating.
The competitive reality is clear: Terra Negra has the better product. Pastrata — the #1 Mexican restaurant in Bávaro — has a 4.6-star rating compared to Terra Negra’s 4.7. The gap is entirely in infrastructure, visibility, and volume. This proposal presents two programs designed to close that gap systematically — starting with a focused digital foundation and building toward full-service growth partnership.
The Core Finding
Terra Negra has a higher TripAdvisor rating than the category leader. It has a full kitchen open 2 hours later than every competitor. It has nightly entertainment that drives genuine repeat visits. The product wins. The digital presence doesn’t reflect it yet — and that’s a fixable problem.
03
The Market
Market Opportunity
Punta Cana receives more than 6 million tourists annually — roughly half of the Dominican Republic’s 12 million total visitors — making it one of the most concentrated tourist markets in the Caribbean. The Bávaro corridor where Terra Negra operates sits at the center of it: walkable from multiple resort complexes, high foot-traffic daily, a growing expat and retiree residential population, and a significant segment of return visitors who come back yearly or seasonally.
This market has a critical behavioral pattern: tourists research before they arrive. The decision of where to eat, which bar to visit, what experiences to book — these happen on phones and laptops before the flight lands. A restaurant that shows up in that pre-trip research phase builds familiarity before the guest ever sets foot in Bávaro. One that doesn’t exist on Google doesn’t get considered at all.
For Terra Negra, the opportunity has three distinct dimensions: capture pre-trip intent (tourists planning their visit), capture in-destination search (guests already in Punta Cana searching for tonight’s dinner), and build a recurring local base (the expat and retiree community that Gianfranco identified as a key long-term segment). All three require digital presence that currently doesn’t exist at scale.
The Pre-Trip Window
We work with clients in Orlando whose business depends on tourists from across the US and Latin America. The same playbook applies here: when someone searches "things to do in Punta Cana," Terra Negra should be in the answer — before they’ve even packed a bag.
04
The Gaps
Growth Signals
Our digital audit of Terra Negra identified five priority growth signals — each representing a gap between where the brand stands today and where its product quality warrants it to be. These signals form the strategic foundation of the program we’re proposing.
Zero Google Indexation
Running site:terranegrapuntacana.com in Google returns 0 results. The website is completely invisible to organic search. No pages are indexed, no keywords are being captured, and no tourist searching online can find Terra Negra through Google.
Fix indexation in week one via Google Search Console, robots.txt audit, and sitemap submission. Then build on-page SEO targeting high-intent terms like “Mexican restaurant Punta Cana,” “happy hour Bávaro,” and “late night dining Punta Cana.”
No Guest Data Infrastructure
Zero email capture, zero loyalty program, zero SMS opt-in. Every guest leaves the experience without a way to bring them back digitally. As Gianfranco noted himself, “10 minutes ago I sent an email to my managers that we need to start creating them.” The awareness is there — the system isn’t.
Deploy an email capture mechanism tied to a compelling incentive (complimentary drink, happy hour extension, loyalty points). Even in a tourist-heavy market, building a database of returning visitors and local residents compounds in value month over month.
TripAdvisor Volume Gap
Terra Negra: 4.7★ · 157 reviews. Pastrata (category leader): 4.6★ · 985 reviews. Terra Negra has the better rating but 6x fewer reviews. In tourist decision-making, volume creates confidence — and the gap is the only reason Pastrata ranks #1.
A structured review generation program — building on the staff incentive program already in place — targeting 30+ new reviews per month. The goal: reach review parity with Pastrata within 12 months and become the unambiguous #1 Mexican destination in Bávaro.
Facebook Severely Underdeveloped
Instagram: 10,000 followers, active Reels, strong visual content. Facebook: 657 page likes — essentially inactive. Facebook remains the primary platform for older tourists (40+), retirees, and many international travelers planning Punta Cana trips. Terra Negra is invisible to this segment.
Build Facebook as a parallel distribution channel with a dedicated content calendar. Cross-post Reels as native video, run targeted Facebook Ads to retirement-age travelers and Punta Cana interest groups. Facebook and Instagram require different content rhythms — we handle both.
WhatsApp-Only Reservations
Reservations and group inquiries currently require initiating a WhatsApp conversation — a friction-heavy flow for international tourists unfamiliar with local norms, or who don’t want to message an unknown number before visiting. Private events and group bookings are almost certainly being lost at this step.
Add a direct online inquiry form or reservation widget to the website. Even a simple “Book a Table” or “Reserve for Groups” form reduces the drop-off rate significantly and captures contact data for follow-up — building the guest database simultaneously.

The System
Choose Your Program
We offer two program tiers designed to meet restaurants at their current stage of digital maturity and growth ambition. For Terra Negra, we’re recommending RestoLite as the smart starting point — a focused, high-execution program that addresses every critical gap identified in the audit without over-engineering the engagement before the relationship is proven. When the foundation is built and results are visible, the path to Resto360 is seamless.

Why RestoLite First
Terra Negra already has content. The current agency handles posting. What’s missing is infrastructure — indexation, SEO, Facebook presence, paid ads with strategic intent, and a website that converts. RestoLite addresses exactly those gaps at $2,000/month. Our portfolio median is +74% in monthly sales growth — documented across real client engagements, not projected. Results vary by market, concept, and starting point. But the pattern is consistent: restaurants that invest in their digital foundation grow.
06
What We Do
Scope of Services
This proposal offers two program tiers. The full scope of each is detailed below — so Gianfranco can see exactly what’s included at every level before making a decision.
RestoLite — Foundation Program — $2,000/mo
Seven core service areas, each directly mapped to a gap identified in the Terra Negra audit. Purpose-built for a tourist-market bar and cantina that needs to become discoverable, consistent, and converting across every digital channel.
Social Media Management
Instagram & Facebook managed in tandem. 1 Reel per week, 2 feed posts, 5 Stories weekly. Facebook built from near-zero with a dedicated content rhythm targeting the 40+ tourist, expat, and retirement-age segments that Instagram misses. Happy hour, late-night, karaoke — every differentiator amplified consistently.
Content Curation & Production
You’ve already done the hard work — the footage exists, the atmosphere is captured. We take your library of content and deploy it with editorial strategy: sequencing, captioning, platform-specific formatting, and a posting calendar built around peak tourist seasons and weekly traffic patterns at Terra Negra.
Paid Ads & Campaigns
Meta Ads strategy built for a tourist market: pre-trip intent targeting (Punta Cana travelers in the planning phase), in-destination targeting (people currently in the Bávaro area), and interest-based targeting for expats and retirees. Structured to extract maximum impact from your current ad budget and scale it as results compound.
Graphic Design Services
5 social graphic assets per week (happy hour promos, daily drink specials, event announcements, sports night posts), plus 2 print-ready requests per month for in-venue materials. Consistent visual identity across every touchpoint so that the branding in a tourist’s Instagram feed matches what they see when they walk in.
Website Design & Development
Template-based rebuild designed for Google indexation from day one: proper sitemap, meta tags, structured data, and a reservation-friendly layout. QR code menu integration for in-venue use. Built to serve tourists who land on the site after a search — not just a digital brochure, but a conversion-optimized first impression.
On-Page SEO & Digital Presence
Fix the zero-indexation problem immediately, then build. Google Business Profile optimization with full photo set, hours, menu link, and booking CTA. On-page SEO targeting high-intent Punta Cana search terms. Monthly content (1 blog post) targeting tourist discovery queries. The goal: when someone Googles “Mexican restaurant Punta Cana,” Terra Negra appears.
Performance Tracking & Analytics
Monthly reporting dashboard covering search visibility, social reach, ad performance, website traffic, and review volume. Every metric tied back to business outcomes — not vanity numbers. Gianfranco gets the data he needs to make decisions, and we use it to continuously optimize the program for the Bávaro market specifically.
Optional Add-On · Available Upgrade
Email & SMS Marketing
Retention campaigns that bring guests back — and for Terra Negra, attract the year-round local and expat base that Gianfranco specifically wants to grow. Automated flows for first-time visitors, event announcements for karaoke nights and sports events, and promotional sequences for low-season traffic. Starts with building the list from scratch — a system Terra Negra doesn’t currently have. Available as a focused add-on when the database is ready to activate.
Optional Add-On · RestoHost AI
RestoHost AI — 24/7 Guest Engagement
An AI-powered guest assistant deployed on your website and social channels. Responds instantly to reservation inquiries, group booking requests, and menu questions — 24/7, in English and Spanish. Reduces lost leads from international tourists who won’t initiate a WhatsApp conversation but will fill out a chat form. Converts the website from static brochure to active booking engine without adding staff.
Additional Available Add-Ons
Reputation & Review Management
TikTok Growth & Short-Form Video
Third-Party Delivery Optimization
Consulting & POS Optimization
Resto360 — Full Partnership — $4,500/mo
Everything in RestoLite, plus five service areas that activate the full growth engine. The paid ads program expands to Meta & Google simultaneously, and the website becomes a fully custom build. Everything built in RestoLite carries forward — no starting from scratch, just acceleration.
Influencer Marketing
Curated influencer activations with Punta Cana tourism creators, Dominican lifestyle accounts, and expat community voices. We negotiate content ownership so every video an influencer shoots becomes an ad asset Gianfranco can run for months. Strategy built around the tourist discovery moment — travelers researching Punta Cana before they land.
Email & SMS Marketing
Included in Resto360, not an add-on. Full CRM build from scratch: list acquisition strategy for expats and repeat visitors, welcome flows, event announcements for karaoke and sports nights, low-season promotional sequences, and win-back campaigns for guests who haven’t returned. Every message designed to convert subscribers into repeat covers.
Reputation & Review Management
Full reputation management across Google, TripAdvisor, and 80+ directories. Strategic review response program to strengthen search authority. Active pipeline to convert happy guests into reviews — critical in a tourism market where TripAdvisor and Google ratings directly impact reservation decisions for first-time visitors who have never heard of Terra Negra.
Local SEO & Digital Presence
Full-service upgrade from the on-page foundation built in RestoLite. Adds multi-platform directory management, tourism-specific link building, TripAdvisor optimization, and a content strategy targeting high-volume search queries across the full Punta Cana/Bávaro search landscape — not just Google, but every platform where a tourist might be researching their next meal.
Consulting & POS Optimization
Strategic advisory layer covering POS data analysis, menu engineering based on sales mix, delivery platform setup if applicable, and operational recommendations tied to marketing programs. Turns the data the program generates into decisions — not just reports. This is the layer that connects digital growth to the P&L.

The Evidence
Proven Results
We currently work with 57+ restaurants across the US and Latin America. Our portfolio shows a median +74% increase in monthly sales and an average 6.2x ROI. These aren’t projections — they’re documented results across real engagements. Here are three comparable cases that speak directly to what we can do for Terra Negra.
Tomo Japanese Restaurant
Single-location restaurant · Systematic growth over 11 months
Most Comparable
Tomo came to us as a strong single-location concept with quality product but inconsistent digital presence. Similar profile to Terra Negra: great reviews, loyal regulars, but no structured growth system behind the brand. We built the digital infrastructure from the ground up — content consistency, local SEO, paid ads, reputation management — and held the program through 11 consecutive months of positive year-over-year growth.

Why It’s Relevant
Tomo proves the value of consistent digital execution for a single strong location. Same category dynamic as Terra Negra: great product, strong local reputation, gap between actual quality and digital visibility. The system works.

The Trajectory
Projected Growth Scenario
The Punta Cana market operates on a clear seasonal rhythm: peak season runs December through April, with a secondary lift in June–August when Dominican expats and vacationing families return. The program below is designed to build the digital foundation during lower-traffic months so that when high season arrives, Terra Negra captures a larger share of the tourist wave than before. Below is a visibility-and-reach projection — not a revenue guarantee, but a measurable trajectory based on the gaps we’re closing.

The Peak Season Multiplier
Every digital asset built in months 1–3 pays a dividend during high season. A fully-indexed website, an active Google Business Profile with 300+ reviews, and a structured Meta Ads campaign running when tourists are searching — that’s the difference between capturing the December wave or watching it go to Pastrata. The work done in the off-season is what makes high season exceptional.

The Real Question
You have four other agency meetings this week. That’s smart due diligence. Here’s what to ask every one of them: can you show me a restaurant you grew, with their actual revenue numbers? We can. That’s the difference.

05
Start Before High Season
Peak season in Punta Cana runs December through April. Every week of digital foundation built before that window compounds the results when the tourist wave arrives. The best time to start was last month. The second-best time is now.
